Dr. Sunil Solanki

Dr. Sunil Solanki

Clinic Director and Chiropractor

Dr. Solanki graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in England in the year 2000. He completed his Masters degree while there, researching Repetitive Strain Injuries. His first posting was in a sports clinic where he became team doctor for a professional English soccer club (Northampton Town) and for Oxford County Cricket Club.

Since returning to Canada he has worked in family practice. He has taken further training in numerous diverse topics ranging from spinal decompression to the care of babies for colic, treating children and seniors for various injuries and the treatment of TMJ (jaw) conditions and headaches. He is also trained in the fitment of custom-made Orthotics.

In 2004 he became a team doctor for the American Le Mans and Grand Am motor-racing series’. He travels to various races and works with drivers and crew to optimize their performance. In private practice he truly enjoys interacting and helping patients on a daily basis and aiding in their recovery and the maintenance of good health and the prevention of future injuries. He often speaks on prevention of injuries in the local community.

In 2010 he became clinic director for Altona Physiotherapy and Chiropractic. In 2021 he also became clinic Director for Church St. Healthcare. He is an active member and mentor for the Ontario and Canadian Chiropractic Associations.

When not working, he enjoys family time with his 2 children and Dumpling the cat, playing with his synths and drum machines and attempting to learn how to drive quickly on the race track!

Dr. David Han

Dr. David Han graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2022. Taking an early interest in the Chiropractic field and the study of human anatomy, Dr. Han graduated from Kinesiology program at McMaster University. Upon graduation, he pursued further education by completing a 2-year program of Master of Professional Kinesiology at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Han holds a special interest in the field of exercise rehabilitation. Dr. Han has over 5 years of experience in the rehabilitation industry where he was able to hone his skills via various healthcare settings including hospitals, multidisciplinary clinics, and rehabilitation centres as an exercise therapist/Registered Kinesiologist.

Chiropractic profession has always been Dr. Han’s career dream and he is now able to provide evidence-based chiropractic care to help reduce your pain and improve your function.

Dr. David Han

Dr. Christina Wang

Chiropractor

Dr. Christina Wang’s treatment philosophy stems from understanding the biopsychosocial contributions to pain and discomfort. Dr. Wang provides individualized chiropractic care by incorporating manual treatment techniques such as spinal manipulation, myofascial release therapy, medical taping, and acupuncture along with active and individualized exercise to help patients return to feeling in-tune with their health and well-being.

Dr. Wang studied Neuroscience at the University of Toronto, St. George and graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College as a Doctor of Chiropractic. She has been dedicated to helping people throughout her career and is known as a positive, enthusiastic, and driven individual.

Richard Wong

Registered Physiotherapist

Richard Wong graduated from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy in the year 1994. He completed the one-year program at Toronto Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Institute and held a Certificate in Acupuncture Therapy in 1996. In 1998, he also completed his Master of Health Science in Physical Therapist at University of Indianapolis, Indianapolis, IN, USA. Since his graduation in 1994, Richard has completed many post-graduate education including various orthopaedics / musculoskeletal and manual therapy courses. Richard is also trained in custom-made foot orthotics assessment and fitting.

Richard has more than 20 years of clinical experience in direct patient care treating various orthopaedic / musculoskeletal conditions including sports injuries, work-related accidents, motor vehicle accidents, post-operation rehabilitation, etc.. He is also an active member of various associations including College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, Canadian Physiotherapy Association and Ontario Physiotherapy Association.

Richard had served the community and the profession of physiotherapy in different ways. He was the examiner for Physiotherapy National Examination and the supervisor for physiotherapy student, physiotherapy resident and massage therapy student. He was also the seminar speaker for Ontario Public Health Service on physiotherapy related topics (i.e. Osteoporosis: Management and Benefits of Exercises). When not working, Richard enjoys family time with his wife and two children and the fellowship time with other Christians in the church.

Siri is a passionate physiotherapist who has been practicing since graduating from her Undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy in India in 2017. She strives to care for her patients using evidence-based treatment techniques, and is always looking for ways to expand her treatment knowledge. Siri specializes in using joint mobilizations, Mulligan techniques and exercise therapy for those with musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehab protocols, and paediatrics.

She is also certified as a Level 2 Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist. When she is not working, she enjoys dancing, cooking new and different cuisines, reading mystery novels, and of course spending time with her young son.

My psychotherapy practice, focused on youth, families and adults is all about working alongside other healthcare practitioners like chiropractors, Psychologists, massage therapists, etc. to achieve a ‘total care’ approach. I have over 10 years of experience in the field. My typical patient would be a young person who may be experiencing various mental health issue’s, anxiety, depression, behavioural concerns, coping with grief/loss, or a family suffering from distress, conflict, abuse, or parental concerns. I welcome referrals and work diligently to earn the trust of my team members to achieve effective therapeutic outcomes.

Dedrie is a Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with children and families to help them navigate the many life-challenges they face.

Her practice is based on the strong belief that prevention and early intervention are key to ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to be successful in life. She assists clients in identifying and addressing adversities they face in order to work on appropriate coping skills and problem-solving strategies.

With most clients, Dedrie employs a wide-ranging approach which brings in components of Trauma-focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Brief- and Solution-focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, but does recognize that there is no one-size-fits all solution and will work with you to find the treatment that serves you and your individual needs best.

She believes that by identifying and enhancing existing strengths, and working on building each individuals’ unique core competencies one will improve one’s social and personal relationships. Working with each individual to develop a comprehensive and tailored support plan in order to work on identified goals,

Lisa graduated on 2014 from the Massage Therapy program at Trillium College. She is passionate and dedicated to providing effective treatments that focus on individual goals. Her main areas of focus are musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. This can include injury due to repetitive strains, motor vehicle accidents, sports injury, or just stress from everyday living. Her specialties include a variety of techniques including deep tissue massage, myofacial release, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage,relaxation and PNF stretching. Lisa is excited to work with new clients as the objective is to benefit your overall health and well being by creating a specialized treatment plan for you?

I’ve always had a passion for being a part of the health care field and have found a fulfilling career as a Registered Massage Therapist. I graduated from Humber College in 2017 and has been practicing in multidisciplinary clinics since then. I look forward to new challenges and learning experiences everyday. In a typical massage treatment I like to use trigger point therapy, myofascial release, Swedish massage techniques, stretching, joint mobilization, and deep tissue massage to ensure effective treatments. It is my happiness to help people recover from  acute or chronic injuries/conditions. Besides treating, I love traveling to warm destinations, trying out new recipes, and hiking.

Andrea has worked in the healthcare industry for many years with roles from a clinic manager to a rehab exercise specialist. With her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, as well as Personal Training Certification, Andrea has also worked with various populations such as pro and semi-pro athletes, pre and post natal patients, post stroke and cancer survivors.

After several years of working as an exercise specialist, Andrea went back to school and graduated from Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. Through her education and experience, she is trained in many massage therapy techniques from deep tissue massage, pregnancy massage, sports massage, Thai massage, lymphatic drainage, joint mobilization, myofascial release, and Swedish massage.

Andrea’s approach in her massage treatments is a combination of relaxation, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and deep tissue with a focus on improving patient’s overall movement and functionality. She understands that every patient’s day to day demands on their body can cause a lot of stress and hopes to help treat as well as educate patients to a better and healthier version of themselves.

Outside of the clinic, Andrea enjoys playing and watching basketball, running, working out and spending time with her family and friends.

Shanice Adair-Samuel

Shanice received an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology form Ontario Tech University and continued her education to graduate from Brock University with a Masters in Professional Kinesiology. She passed her College of Kinesiologists entry-to-practice exam to become a Registered Kinesiologist, and has been in practice for 2 years.

In her free time, she plays and coaches competitive soccer with the Oshawa Kicks Soccer Club. When she is not active on the field or in the clinic, she is in her kitchen trying new recipes and learning new culinary skills.

Jared graduated from York University with a Bachelors of Health Science with a Specialization in Kinesiology in 2021. Jared played for the York Lions football team, and grew up playing hockey, baseball and lacrosse. Throughout his athletic career, he experienced various injuries that introduced him to a clinical rehabilitation setting. This peaked his interest in helping others both prevent and recover from injuries through increasing strength and mobility.

Leah has been involved in sport and fitness for over 30-years, starting out as a competitive Rhythmic, Artistic, and Trampoline gymnast and later a Coach and Fitness instructor for the last 20-years. She brings this experience and enthusiasm to the clinic and it’s relation to active recovery, rehabilitation, and injury prevention techniques. In addition to her NCCP coaching certification, she holds her Can Fit Pro for Personal Training, Group Fitness, Madd Dog Spinning, Zumba, and Bender Ball Pilates Certification.

Her enthusiasm to advocate for a healthy and active lifestyle brings new life to her practice and those she works with. If she is not coaching, mentoring coaches, teaching a fitness class, she is supporting her husband and 3 children through their journey of sport, fitness, and healthy living.

Danielle completed her bachelor’s degree at Laurentian University with their School of Kinesiology and Health Sciences, Health Promotion Program. She also graduated with her Official Bilingual Certificate, French as a second language. Danielle grew up playing soccer and continues to play in Pickering and Whitby, and enjoys long distance running. A hobby and growing interest of hers is travelling the world and exploring new cultures. So far she has visited Switzerland, Italy and Greece, and one day hopes to travel to the Philippines. Within her work Danielle is always happy to share her knowledge and experience in exercise, rehabilitation, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Chris holds a Kinesiology degree and recently obtained a degree in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan College. As of recently, Chris became a Certified Athletic therapist as well as a Certified FST Practitioner. Growing up playing sports such as hockey, baseball and football, Chris is no stranger to being in clinics and understands the importance of rehabilitation and treating injuries. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, reading comic books and watching sports!
